This shows when to use “s” on the end of a word and when to use “e s” or “ ’s ” or “ s’ ”. Use “s” to show more than one. For example, two dogs. Use “e s” when it would be hard to say the word by putting an “s” on the end as in the word “glass” or “watch”. Use “‘s ” when showing ownership. Use “ s ” when there is more than one and they show ownership. The girls’ dresses were lost. If there is a “y” at the end you change the “y” to “i” and add “e s”.
