“Y” and “w” are on this page. “Y” and “w” are Consonants but are sometimes considered to be vowels. So, the rule for this book which is, when two vowels are together the first one says its “name” and the second one is silent, apply using the “y” and “w” as vowels. With this in mind, “a y” would make the sound of the “a” vowel “name” and “o w” would make the sound of the “o” vowel “name”.
