The trip with the press was terrific. It was to Brazil, Madrid and then Crocket in Brittan. It was fantastic to travel in class. It was just wonderful. A thankful Phillip, Franklin and I went to freshen up on the ship. When we got back we had such a blessing. The deck was chockfull of eggplant, Swiss spinach, brisket, broth, crumpets by the shovelful and shellfish. It was a wonderful lunch. We left the channel at last and swept by the swamp. What a smell. What a stench. Then the mast went left, then up, then left. Whiz, whack, whip. We got skittish, fretful and skeptical. Then, nothing. What a rip, what a trip. What a lot of fun we had.

Ted had a clarinet. He hid it in the closet with the drum set and music stand. He did his last gig and it was fantastic. Step up, step back, spin... not a misstep. What a shindig. He did cherish his songs. His songs did shock us but his talent was astonishing.
